Q. How do I book a quotation?

A. You can either call our office on 020 8298 0068 to book a free no obligation quote. Or fill in our online form, where a member of our team will contact you.

Q. How do I book an installation date?

A. If you decide to go ahead with our quotation, you can contact our office and a installation date will be provided that suits. We will then be in contact to carry out the final survey.

Q. Will I be pressured on my appointment?

A. No not atall, we do not quote on site so you don’t have to make a decision there and then. All our quotes are free and no obligation so there is no pressure to buy.

Q. What is FENSA?

A. FENSA stands for the Fenestration Self-Assessment scheme. It has been set up by the Glass and Glazing federation (GGF) and other industry bodies, with government encouragement in response to the Building Regulations.

Q. How do I know if my windows are energy efficient?

A. You can check the energy efficiency of a window by looking at the BFRC label, which is also known as a ‘rainbow label’. The higher the energy rating, the more energy efficient it is.

Q. When will I receive my Fensa certificate?

A. FENSA certificates are issued by FENSA. SDG will notify FENSA that we have installed a product at your address and FENSA will then send your certificate to you direct this can take up to 6 weeks.

Q. What does the QANW logo mean?

A. Use of the QANW logo simply demonstrates that the installer has the facility to insurance back their own guarantee to the customer.

 

Q. What is covered under the 10-year guarantee?

A. The ten-year guarantee covers all Sidcup Double Glazing windows and doors. It also covers any reasonable faults that may occur, such as manufacture damage, weather and corrosion damage and any other reasonable faults which may have developed due to inferior workmanship.

Q. Does the guarantee cover locks and hinges?

A. Yes, providing that there is a reasonable fault that has occurred due to manufacturing problems or through general everyday use. Every part of all our products are covered under the guarantee as long as there is a reasonable fault and not intentional misuse or damage.

Q. Is the 10 year guarantee transferable?

A. Yes, should you decide to move home at any point your guarantee can be transferred to the new owner, so they too can have peace of mind.

Q. What if for any reason you cease trading during my guarantee?

A. Should for any reason we cease to trade during your 10-year guarantee, your guarantee is insurance backed meaning you will remain covered (subject to the terms of the insurance policy).
